Not sure where I should post this one, so...
What do one do if for instance you end up in a scenario like this:
My coworker checked out some classes Friday, and never checked it back in before he went home.
Off course, when I went in to work the week-end, and needed to work on this files I could not.
I am the VSS administrator, but cannot see how that help me.
Not sure there's anything one can do. Remember when I was working at microsoft R&D, I once checked out a dll, and kept the whole team in Redmont from working. Dude, that was some p!$$ed 'mericans on the next conference call. :bigyello:You could "Undo Checkout" but then the other guy may loose his changes or yours unless you inform him. Maybe you could merge the versions after?
Or you could make your local copy writable, save your changes to it. And once he checks his changes in and you've proceeded to beat the living excrements out of his nostrils until his brains have turned into a bloody pulp, you can sit down with him and merge the changes.
